We gathered at the home of Vivek Subramanian and Yvette
Delahoussaye in Orinda, California, where in all directions we could see
distant hills through the mist. Their house has multiple levels, with dog doors
all over the place, so the herd of beagles and beagle wannabes were able to
scamper to their hearts' content, while Caitlin Matts could only stare after
them, looking for something labeled "Eat me!" or "Drink me!" to reduce her to
beagle size.
The following pictures were taken by four different people, and
I'm putting them up in the order they were received. To try to integrate them
and present them in chronological order would be worse than asking a beagle to
give up his Frosty Paws.
Enjoy! We did! Even the rain held off. Our one regret is
that Meg Azevedo's car broke down en route, so that she, Burt, Lilly Bird, and
