Molly Fuller and Spritzer

Molly lives in Oakville, Ontario, 20 miles from Toronto, until recently with Loodi and Spritzer. The beagles, of course, ruled the roost. Their favorite activities were eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping, going for walks, and chasing squirrels.

Bottom left is another of Molly's loves, her grandson, Mitchell. And please note at bottom right how nicely Loodi and Spritzer saved a place for Molly in their bed.

Sadly, and suddenly, Loodi went to the Bridge on August 20, 2003, and Molly and Spritzer have to go on without her.

Lucy
Lucy, now at the Bridge

Gwenda lives in Terrigal, a beach-side suburb just north of Sydney, Australia. She shares her house with longtime friend Nerelle and three spoiled beagles—Nikki, Holly, and Rose. The senior and most important of the Urliup beagles, Annie Wombat, a legend in her own mind, went to the Bridge on January 17, 2004, at the age of 15 years and two weeks.

Gwenda's a beagle breeder and show person and also, since 1993, a qualified beagle judge. Her love of beagles has spanned more than 20 years. She adopted her first beagle, Lucy, in 1983. Lucy may be gone, but she will never be forgotten, She instilled in Gwenda the love she has for this breed.

You can visit them all in Australia via the Web.

Bayley lives in New Hampshire with Nancy, Steve, Stephen, and sometimes Jennifer Gray, who is mostly away at college. Bayley was born on April 30, 1998, and joined the Grays when she was 12 weeks old. What a happy day!

Sarah was a more recent adoptee, an older rescue who sadly went to the Bridge on September 20, 2005, held lovingly in Nancy's arms.

And then there's Baxter, Jennifer's former beagle, also a rescue. He's at bottom, sandwiched between Bayley and Sarah.

Janiece Harrison, Bo, Little Annie, and Maggie

Janiece (and Bill Eickmeier) live in Nashville, Tennessee, with their beloved beagles, Bo and Annie. Bo was born in 1992 and came to live with Janiece and Bill when he was five months old, when his original owners couldn't keep him. Little Annie arrived in May 1995 from New Jersey, and Bill heard her arooooo! from behind the counter at the airport before he even saw her.

And now there's Maggie!

There's more on the Web.

Jörg Heitmann, Amy, Sonata, and Clifton

Jörg lives in Wasbüttel, Germany, near Braunschweig and Wolfsburg. He has three beagles, Amy, Sonata, and Clifton, the baby. Colleen, the oldest of his pack, died in her family's arms on May 14, 2003.

When the beagles aren't strutting their stuff at a dog show or training in agility, they cuddle on the couch together or stand in front of their food bowls. The girls are addicted to television. Amy and Sonata are big soccer fans.

You can see more of Jörg's girls on the Web. And we still need a picture of Clifton, his boy.

Meg Beagle

Casey
Casey, who went to the Rainbow Bridge
on October 25, 2003

A native New Yorker, Mimi lives in Oakland, California, with beagles Zoey and Phoebe and husband Dick Goodman. Zoey, an injured rescue, was adopted from Oregon in April 1998, and Phoebe, a child of divorce, was rescued and adopted from Maryland via Virginia in August 1999, when her former person decided that going on cruises was more important than little Phoebe.

Meg, with Mimi since she was 5½ weeks old, successfully battled Addison's Disease for six years, but died of kidney failure on November 14, 2006. Casey went peacefully to the Bridge on October 25, 2003, just a few weeks short of his 16th birthday. Joey, Casey's puppyhood playmate, joined him there not quite a year later. Joey, a little mop-terrier who looked like an Ewok, made that last journey on August 13, 2004, at the age of 17. Jenny died without warning on November 20, 2004. And Jack, their four-pound chihuahua cross, went to the Bridge on December 23, 2006. Their family will love them always.

Mimi is administrator of Arooooo! and Webmaster of the Arooooo! Web site. She and her gang are all on the Web, where the beagles have a page of their own. Zoey and Phoebe have their own Web pages as well. Zoey, a world-class jumper, is a complete brat. Phoebe, once a scrawny little rescue, has turned into a cuddly little butterball, sometimes called Phat Phreckled Phoebe. She recently ate the quackers out of two stuffed ducks, but she was happy while chewing.
